The Institute

The Iguako Institute for Applied Unreality builds digital places, tools, stories and experiments that make familiar systems feel strange enough to see again.

IGUAKO Capital is the Institute's exercise in institutional fiction: a private financial institution constructed in full, from the loading animation to the one hundred and sixty-eighth regulatory notice, so that the visual and verbal language of institutional finance can be examined at the scale it actually operates.

Koala is the Institute's public explanation of itself. FocusBlocker is a working application that leaves the Institute's studio and runs on a visitor's own machine. The Institute's own site is the artwork the others orbit.
