Nairobi
Nairobi is a two-person desk opened in 2025 to cover East African aquaculture, dairy science and agri-science. No Kenyan entity is registered, so the desk introduces and monitors and does nothing else. Any position it finds is underwritten in Johannesburg, held through the Port Louis platform and funded from the balance sheet in George Town.

East Rift Development Finance Corporation co-finances the facilities the desk refers, which lets a first position be built without a local balance sheet. The pipeline it has assembled is the case for its conversion: the 2030 phase of Programme Latitude registers a Kenyan entity, converts the desk to an office with local credit and compliance staff, and makes that pipeline its first book.
