Exuma Sound Custody

Exuma Sound Custody is the independent custodian for the private wealth booking centre in Nassau. The relationship began in 2022 when the Private Wealth & UHNW division moved its booking function from George Town to Bay Street Pavilion. At 30 June 2026 Exuma Sound safekept US$131 million of the US$356 million that sits on the Bahamas booking centre, with the balance held by custodians in Zürich and Singapore.

The relationship

Custody in the booking jurisdiction lets a family hold liquid assets, trust interests and co-investment positions in one reporting line, which is the reason Nassau was chosen as the booking centre. Exuma Sound settles against the client mandate, not against an IGUAKO instruction alone, and its statement is the one the custody liaison desk in Nassau reconciles each morning. Client assets are segregated from the custodian's own assets and from the IGUAKO balance sheet.
