Bridgetown

Bridgetown lends. Latitude Commercial Finance (Barbados) SRL held US$31 million of facilities to twenty-three borrowers at 30 June 2026, most of them receivables and equipment lines to agri-science and marine businesses. Three of the six people in the office are credit officers. Careenage House also administers the seven treaty-based holding entities that sit above the Latin American operating positions.

Credit authority is limited and written down. Facilities up to US$2 million are approved in the office, larger ones by the Commercial Finance division, and anything above US$10 million by the Investment Committee. Security is taken in every case. Arrears are reported weekly within the office and monthly to the Risk & Valuation Committee, with no exception for size.

The holding entities are administered to a calendar rather than on demand. Annual returns, board minutes, substance records and treaty documentation are prepared on a fixed schedule and reviewed by the office of the General Counsel. Bridgetown works closely with the Port of Spain desk, which introduces facilities that are then booked in Barbados.
