Montevideo
Montevideo is the newest desk in the Americas and the only location in the region without a local entity of its own. Three people work from Rambla House. They cover cattle, grain and aquaculture producers in Uruguay and northern Argentina, and everything they introduce is booked through Panama City or held through the Curaçao chain.

The desk was opened in 2025 to hold relationships before the structure exists to serve them. The 2031 phase of Programme Latitude registers a Uruguayan entity, converts the desk into an office and brings the Fondo Austral de Desarrollo relationship onshore. Until then the desk introduces, records and monitors. It approves nothing and books nothing.
Functions
- Coverage of southern cone agri-science and aquaculture relationships
- Borrower and counterparty diligence in Uruguay and northern Argentina
- Preparation for the Uruguayan registration under Programme Latitude
