São Paulo

São Paulo originates. Five of the forty-seven portfolio positions are held through the Brazilian company: three agri-science holdings under Latitude Agro Participações Ltda. and two animal-health holdings under IGUAKO Biológicos Participações Ltda. Six people work from Faria Lima Pavilion, and four correspondent and counterparty relationships are managed there. US$11 million of the client portfolio is attributed to Brazil.

Welfare covenants travel with the capital. Every animal-health and aquaculture holding taken in Brazil carries written husbandry, housing and transport standards, an inspection right and a remedy period, and the office inspects each site at least twice a year. IGUAKO Biológicos Participações Ltda. also keeps the register of product registrations behind those holdings. The fifth principle of the Ethical Technology Charter is enforced here in contract terms.

The office books nothing itself. Credit approvals run through Panama City, holding structures through Willemstad and Barbados, and valuation through George Town. What São Paulo keeps is the relationship with the founder and the judgement about whether the advantage in a business is structural or temporary.
