Toronto
Toronto is an engineering office with a licence attached. Five of the seven people are engineers or data scientists, and the other two carry the registered dealer and adviser obligations for permitted clients in Canada. Three Canadian entities are administered from Bay-Wellington House, and five of the forty-seven portfolio positions are held through them.

The provenance register is kept in this office. Sixty-three datasets used anywhere in the group are recorded with an origin, a lawful basis, a retention period and a named owner, and no dataset enters a model without an entry. The register is the working form of the third principle of the Ethical Technology Charter.
Priya Vantongeren, an independent director with a data-governance background, is based in Toronto and chairs the Information Governance Committee. The office prepares the material that committee reviews, including model inventories, inference limits and the record of decisions that were model assisted. The Head of Technology and Ethics checks that work from Singapore.
