Palm Beach is one of the two offices the firm opened in 2019 and the base of the Chief Executive. Twenty-eight people work from Worth Avenue Pavilion, the second largest headcount in the network. IGUAKO Capital Americas LLC is the coverage and advisory entity for the United States and employs the North American team across four locations.
The office was built around origination in rare markets. Its bankers cover United States owners of pharmaceutical, animal-health and aquaculture businesses, and have run growth capital and sale mandates for them since the firm began. Thirteen of the sixty-one family relationships are covered from Florida, and US$131 million of the client portfolio is attributed to the United States.
Palm Beach and George Town are the two ends of the arithmetic. Proceeds originated in Florida are converted and moved to whichever region the Investment Committee judges the better use, so the office is measured on the quality of what it originates rather than on what it retains. The Chief Executive reviews the North American pipeline every fortnight.
